Under the overall authority of the Director of the Division for Peace and Sustainable Development, the overall guidance of the Chief of Section of Global Citizenship and Peace Education and the immediate supervision of the Programme Specialist at the UNESCO Headquarters, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the UNESCO Programme on Addressing Antisemitism through Education, and in particular the Project on ‘Addressing Antisemitism through Education in Europe’ and the Project “Countering Holocaust denial and distortion” within the framework of global citizenship education, ensuring alignment with the 2023 Recommendation on Education for Peace, Human Rights and Sustainable Development.
Programme activities include: a) capacity building workshops and (sub)regional conferences; b) the development of policy and pedagogical publications and training materials on the subjects of preventing antisemitism and Holocaust denial and distortion; c) monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes; and d) fundraising, partnerships and communications.

UNESCO’s salaries consist of a basic salary and other benefits which may include if applicable: 30 days annual leave, family allowance, medical insurance, pension plan etc.
The approximate annual starting salary for this post is 105,222 USD.
