The Role

As a Software Engineer at OnePay, your work will build the products & systems that serve our customers and run our company. You will play a crucial role in translating product visions into functional, high-quality applications and features. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful solutions that enhance our customer’s financial lives. You will:

• Develop and implement new features, API’s, and products.

• Work closely with other engineers to ship code. We enjoy collaboration and partnering on hard problems. 

• Architect and designing highly scalable and reliable products.

• Building and maintaining documentation. As a growing and remote organization, having the necessary documentation is key to our success. 

• Solve complex problems that arise at scale. We deal with real-world money movement and sensitive financial data at scale and are creating novel financial mechanics with no real precedent.

You Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience in product-facing backend development.

• Strong track record of delivering high-impact features and products.

• Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing API’s.

• Drive and proactivity – everyone here is a builder and executor

We use the fp-ts library for functional programming with Node/TypeScript running on top of Kubernetes and AWS. We believe great engineers can learn any stack, so you do not need experience with these specific tools, but you’ll ramp up more quickly if you are familiar with functional programming concepts.

The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $220,000. Pay is generally based on the level, complexity, responsibility, location, and job duties/requirements of the specific position.
