Accountant
Position:
Contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. This role will utilize strong accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving to maintain the proper Company’s accounting records of the day to day operations.
Requirements:
- Day to day transactions: Process transactions according to stated procedures so that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner. Perform month end closing (MEC) activities with the team, ensuring financial information in BS and P&L is accurate, meeting MEC global schedule’s deadlines
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, collecting cash payments from customers, and ensuring proper documentation. This involves daily cash collection from sales transactions, verifying and reconciling cash with sales records, and handling the company’s petty cash fund by recording and tracking expenses, ensuring replenishment, and maintaining accurate records
- Receive, process and execute requests to ensure they are properly handled in a timely manner and in accordance to set business requirements. Ensure that a high level of control is maintained by reporting major problems and areas of noncompliance to the hierarchy and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Tax & Audit: Prepare tax return (Special Sales Tax, General Sales Tax, Withholding taxes & Corporate Income Tax) reporting in close cooperation with the Tax Manager and EY for final validation before submission. Assisting in year-end financial and tax audits in compliance with statutory and company requirements
Requirements:
- University Degree (Accounting or Finance). Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus
- 2-3 years of experience in cash accounting function within a FMCG company (international is a plus)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, PowerBI is a plus
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- SAP HANA experience is a plus
- Analytical Skills, Attention to details, Initiative and high level of Communication Skills
- Arabic: Fluent. English: Excellent
