In 2025, UNESCO will initiate a new flagship on “Indigenous and Local Knowledge Outlook of Biodiversity” to amplify ongoing BES-Net support and strengthen consideration and mainstreaming of Indigenous and local knowledge in national biodiversity targets and implementation.
