JOB SUMMARY
Owner & Executive communication is a strategic function of Marriott’s business in the Greater China that manages the communications of hotel owners and franchisees. Partnering with The Owner Relations team, this role coordinates with and supports multiple stakeholders in the planning and execution of programs and initiatives developed for the purpose of communicating to and recognizing our highly valued business partners.
The Senior Manager, Owner & Executive Communications will play an integral role in managing external and owner communication on behalf of the leadership in Greater China, to tell the story of the company’s business model, programs and services to Marriott’s owner and franchisee community – essentially, explain how and what we do to run the business and, most importantly, why we do it. The role will work closely with all functions throughout the organization to understand the business, identify communication challenges and opportunities, formulate key messages, and create purposeful and persuasive communication.
This role will be also focused on executive communications, ensure clear and aligned messaging and approach going out to above properties, properties, and supporting internal communications forum, conferences for executive including Greater China President and C-level executives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
_Required_
+ Excellent English copywriting skills is a must.
+ 5-7 years of work experience in international journalism, consulting/advisory, or strategic, financial or corporate communications.
+ University degree is required.
_Preferred_
+ Experience in or in-depth knowledge of the hotel and/or real estate industry, preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
+ Owner communications, developing owner & executive communication and messaging platforms for GC strategic initiatives.
+ understand the business, assess communication challenges and opportunities, recommend type and content of messaging to ownership groups, and produces communication material.
+ Coordinates presentations as well as plan business forums for owner conferences and meetings.
+ Support Director Internal & Executive Communications to develop Executive Communications plan, and internal communications events and conferences.
+ Draft communications, talking points, script, presentations from Greater China President and C-suite leadership. English speech writing.
