About IsraAID:
IsraAID is an international non-governmental humanitarian aid organization based in Israel. Since we were founded in 2001, our teams have worked in emergency and long-term development settings in more than 60 countries around the world. IsraAID responds to emergencies and helps communities affected by crises rebuild their lives, and their futures, together. From hurricanes to refugee crises to global pandemics, we mobilize quickly and collaborate with communities at the deepest level, accompanying the process of becoming self-reliant in the ability to prepare and respond to emergencies and crises and return to adaptive functioning.
In Uganda, we support people affected by humanitarian crises as they cultivate resilience and build agency, while establishing systems and partnerships to reduce the risk of future disasters. We work across two geographical locations: in Northwestern Uganda in the Palorinya refugee settlement and in Southwestern Uganda in the Nakivale Settlement. We hereby present an exciting position for anyone who would like to use their communications and visibility skills to enhance our work.
About the Position:
The communications and visibility officer will enhance our country office’s documentation, reporting, learning and sharing mechanisms internally and externally, supporting the implementation of our programs. He/she should be able to think outside the box and use creative methods to document, share and educate. As an evidence-based organization, we consider global days, arts and creative social media as opportunities to increase our visibility, expand our impact, and collaborate more effectively with key stakeholders. We plan to use mainstream and social media platforms to deliver our key messages. The communications and visibility officer will support the strategic plan to achieve these objectives.
