General Ledger Accounting Specialist
Are you an independent and proactive accounting professional? We’re looking for a General Ledger Accounting Specialist to join our Prague-based team!
In this role, you’ll work autonomously while staying curious and engaged – asking the right questions, learning procedures, cooperating with various partners, and adapting to the dynamic environment of an international company. If you’re detail-oriented, eager to grow, and thrive in a structured yet evolving setting, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- serves as key expert and main contact person in the area of General Ledger, financial closing, VAT reporting, fixed assets,
- provides support in audits (internal, external),
- prepares & performs trainings, provide training materials for other departments when necessary to ensure compliance (tax, accounting),
- acts as senior accountant, able to substitute Financial Accounting Manager in respective tasks.
Requirements:
- minimum of 3-4 years of accounting or controlling experience in an international environment,
- knowledge and experience with accounting (local GAAP & IFRS), Czech tax legislation,
- good knowledge of MS office (particularly Excel) and understanding of one of core ERP systems (e.g. SAP),
- fluent in Czech and English,
- university degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration preferred.
