HR Assistant (Shipping Company) Full Time
We are a reputable and fast-growing shipping company committed to providing reliable and efficient services in the logistics and transportation industry. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our HR team in managing a wide range of human resources functions, ensuring a smooth and compliant operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the recruitment process by posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
Maintain and update employee records in the HR database, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
Support onboarding activities for new hires, including preparing documents, setting up orientations, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
Assist in managing employee benefits, including health insurance, leave requests, and other company perks.
Process payroll data and track employee attendance and working hours.
Help with the preparation of HR reports and presentations for management.
Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Maintain compliance with labor laws and company policies, ensuring all HR practices are consistent with regulations.
Assist with training and development programs for employees, scheduling training sessions, and tracking attendance.
Provide administrative support to the HR team, including preparing documents, organizing meetings, and managing HR-related correspondence.
Requirements:
Previous experience in an HR administrative or assistant role, preferably within a shipping or logistics company.
Strong understanding of HR functions, including recruitment, payroll, and employee benefits.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Knowledge of HR software and databases is a plus.
High school diploma required; a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
