New Product Development Specialist
What this position is about – Purpose:
The Marketing & Sales NPD Specialist will be responsible for planning and managing NPD projects in alignment with company policies, the annual plan (A&SP), and market-specific requirements, while ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role focuses on driving JTI product advancements in the market by closely collaborating with Brand Managers and Portfolio Coordinators. Key responsibilities include overseeing product changes, launching new formats, Limited Edition Packs, and introducing new products. Additionally, the NPD Specialist will serve as the primary liaison between R&D, Global Supply Chain, and Marketing & Sales, ensuring seamless execution of all product and packaging initiatives with excellence and on time.
What will you do – Responsibilities:
- Execute NPD projects for products/packaging in PLM.
- Coordinate projects with stakeholders across sourcing locations.
- Track project progress and update Line Manager & Market.
- Prepare preliminary info for Project Initiation.
- Lead project kick-off meetings as Project Manager.
- Oversee end-to-end NPD process, ensuring timely execution.
- Monitor project timelines, addressing delays/issues.
- Handle PLM-related queries and support assigned markets.
- Track lead-times for layouts, approvals, SKU readiness, tooling, and materials.
- Identify cost optimization and product rationalization opportunities.
- Draft presentations, meeting minutes, and update NPD data.
Who are we looking for – Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Technology, Marketing or Business Administration
- 2+ years of experience in FMCG within NPD, Marketing, or Project Management, with a proven track record in cross-functional projects.
- Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Sales & Marketing experience is a plus.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) with excellent presentation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Power BI (Developer) and SAP PLM is a plus.
