Overview of the role

To lead, develop and manage the recovery operations & team in order to maintain quality work in the store & ensure prevention of unnecessary costs to assets. He/she works proactively across functions and together with the relevant matrix to identify, investigate, report, and follow up potential improvements regarding the recovery process and quality associated with IKEA items by which the Recovery department’s contribution in the store will be secured.

What you will do

FINANCIAL

• Responsible for achieving or exceeding sales and costs objectives for recovery unit i.e. stock management, recovery index, Trans types cost, destruction budget, quality/receiving credits, net profit.

OPERATIONAL

• Collaborate with different functions to ensure everyone understands and contributes to the recovery process by focusing on loss prevention, revenue, sustainability and quality.
• Provide relevant business information, set goals and generate action plans with constant strive for improving the performance and find the best working methods for preventing costs and optimizing revenue while keeping the bottom-line profit in mind, under the supervision of the Business Navigator .
• Establish efficient goods flow within Recovery with reasonable stock situation.
• Manage AsIs (Circular Hub) as commercial area by following the company Range presentation guidelines and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with IKEA/Al Futtaim directives and the company Standard Operating Procedures in all Recovery related processes.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT

• Lead and manage the Recovery team to be able to achieve the result through each co-worker development.
• Ensure healthy and safe work environment following the company guidelines and labor law.
• Work with L&D to ensure continuous development & training plans are in place for recovery team as required.

Required skills to be successful

• Knowledge on selling techniques & customer service.
• Strong knowledge of Goods handling and safety measures.
• Very command of English language.
• Good command of Arabic language is preferred.
• Advanced computer literacy.
• Proficient user of MS Office Excel and data management tools
• Good understanding of IKEA store operations.
