Overview of the role

As a Risk Manager, you will be engaged in data analysis pertaining to the Credit Risk Function for both Leasing and Inhouse Finance. You will be responsible for portfolio analytics for various entities within the Al-Futtaim Automotive division. Your role will involve extracting, analyzing, and presenting data to the Line Manager and Senior Management. Additionally, you will oversee the retail credit evaluation process and potentially underwrite retail lease or lending cases.

What you will do

• Perform detailed analytics, including analysis of underwritten portfolios and collections data.
• Create risk reporting dashboards for various segments and countries.
• Proactively monitor key credit risk metrics relating to product, channel, exceptions, and vintage performance.
• Support the development of a Credit Risk Framework, including risk guidelines, policy renewal programs, portfolio credit management, and risk processes.
• Document performance versus risk profiles and thresholds.
• Design and implement automation strategies for analytics output, including presenting data in Tableau/PowerBI dashboards.
• Develop BRD/CR documents in collaboration with EIT/Business Solutions and Data Engineering teams.
• Support potential changes to credit policies through analytics.
• Underwrite lease and credit cases for both corporate and retail clients.
• Provide suggestions for continuous improvement.

Required skills to be successful

• University Degree
• 5+ years experience in any analysis related role
• Strong Communication skills
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Expertise in risk technology and credit lending systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit underwriting, with a preference for experience in both retail and corporate credit underwriting.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and interact with senior management.
• Strong work ethic, decision-making ability, and capability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to analyze company financials and market conditions.
• UAE National is required.
• Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred.

About the team

You will be part of the Al-Futtaim Finance – Risk team, working closely with the Head of Credit and Analytics. The team is dedicated to managing risk and ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of credit evaluations and portfolio analytics. Collaboration with various departments and senior management is key to achieving the team’s objectives.
