Tax Supervisor

What this role is about?

The candidate will be responsible for assisting Tax Manager in tax compliance, tax advisory, tax projects, tax audits and other corporate tax related matters for Egypt based entities to ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and JTI Group tax policy.

What will you do?

You will assist Tax Manager in the following fields:

• Tax related projects and tax compliance tasks including preparation of tax returns. Assist in providing tax advisory to business stakeholders from both compliance and business operational perspectives, including but not limited CIT, VAT, stamp tax, withholding tax
• Preparing local transfer pricing documentation as well as replying tax authority’s supplementary request, ensuring full compliance in statutory and tax aspects
• Providing tax advisory services in identifying potential tax risks and evaluate feasible solutions
• Reporting requirements on a regular basis, including quarterly income tax packs (when applicable), Country-by-Country Reporting, entity compliance tax report and JCFC requirement
• Year-end closing with external auditors
• Work with Tax Manager, Global Tax team and external consultants in global tax projects
• Preparation and review of the data to be submitted within tax audits framework. Help to estimate the risk exposure (if any)

What are we looking for?

• University Degree in Business, Economics or Accounting. Professional qualification is a plus
• At least 5 years of experience in tax function of FMCG or advisory companies
• Proficient in SAP, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Familiar with local tax regulations. Positive attitude and be willing to corporate with different teams
• Fluency in both English and Arabic
